Welcoming a new baby is a special, emotional, and unforgettable time!

It’s such a memorable experience that sometimes you just wish you could freeze every moment and savor it with your baby. From the moment they arrive, you’ll be mesmerized by every tiny detail. Their little toes, soft cheeks, and adorable wrinkles make each moment precious. Soon enough, they’ll outgrow that newborn-sized outfit, and you’ll be reminiscing about the days when they fit perfectly in your arms.

As a Portland newborn photographer, my goal is to create simple, modern, and timeless images that remind you of this incredible chapter in your life. These photos will bring you back to the sweet, fleeting moments of those early days, allowing you to cherish them forever.

My newborn sessions take place in my custom-built studio in Portland, using natural light to capture authentic, beautiful moments. Each session includes individual portraits of your baby, as well as photos with siblings, parents, and the entire family.

Newborn sessions typically occur around two weeks of age to capture that sweet newborn goodness, but these sessions are equally magical for older babies too! No matter the age, capturing every stage of your baby’s life is just as special.

I take on a limited number of newborn sessions each month to ensure flexibility around your baby’s arrival.

Sessions take place in my studio in Portland, thoughtfully designed for comfort and aesthetics. The space features soft, earthy tones and a minimalist style — the perfect setting for creating timeless, dreamy images.

    The Studio

    I have a custom-built photography studio in Portland, OR, and it is perfect for the sessions I offer.

    The wardrobe

    I have a curated client wardrobe with dresses for mamas if they’d like to use them, along with a cozy selection of knitted outfits, wraps, and blankets for newborns — so you really don’t need to bring a thing unless there’s something special you’d like to include.

    The process

    You will receive detailed guidance from me about your session, with wardrobe choices and how to prepare your newborn.

    These sessions can take 1.5-2 hours as we need time to feed and settle and certainly not a process we wish to rush. I want you to feel calm and comfortable during the session.

    Once we’re finished, you’ll receive your gallery in about 1-2 weeks.

I promise consistent, high-quality results—because, after all, you can’t turn back time.

FAQs

  • It’s ideal to schedule the session within the first two weeks of the baby’s arrival. This is when newborns are sleepier and more flexible for posing. I can do newborns up to 5 weeks of age, even older. But to get the sleepy shots it is best sooner than later.

  • I do. I know how life is getting more expensive these days. So I can split your payments in 2, 3 or 4 instalments. As long as the full amount is received by the time we do the session.

  • A newborn session usually takes around 2-3 hours. When siblings are involved the process can take longer. 

  • I recommend solid light colors and natural fabrics. It’s best to avoid bright white; however, off-white works great. I also have adorable dresses for moms, knits and wraps available for your newborn.

  • You can expect to receive your gallery approximately a week after the session. Yes, I deliver edited photos very quickly.

  • Yes, definitely. The session includes individual images of your baby, as well as photos with siblings, parents, and the entire family if desired. It can also be a baby-only session.

  • It’s completely normal for newborns to be fussy at times. If your baby needs a break or a feeding, we can pause the session to ensure their comfort. Patience is key, and I’ll work at your baby’s pace to capture beautiful moments.

  • Absolutely! I love outdoor newborn showers!

  • I get a little depressed when I think about a photo archive stored somewhere in the cloud or on a hard drive. 

    I offer high-quality print and products for your home. It is important to me that you have high-quality products for your high-quality images.

    So please print your photos! 

  • Life is complicated and the unexpected is to be expected. So I am very flexible. If you need to reschedule the session, please notify me as soon as possible, and we can work together to find a new suitable date. I don’t do refunds. But happy to reschedule.
