An Oregon Coast maternity session feels more like an evening adventure than a traditional photoshoot.
We'll walk along the beach, pause whenever the light is beautiful, and take our time.
Nothing feels rushed.
Many families tell me afterward that the session itself became one of their favorite memories from pregnancy — not just because of the photographs, but because they spent an evening together before life changed forever.

What to Expect
The Oregon Coast is naturally unpredictable, and that's part of its beauty.
The weather can change quickly, so I always recommend bringing a warm sweater or jacket that you can throw on between photographs.
Most of the time we only need it for a few minutes, but having that extra layer makes the experience much more comfortable.
Cloudy weather is actually wonderful for photography, creating soft, flattering light.
If the forecast looks particularly unpleasant, we'll simply reschedule whenever possible. I'd much rather wait a few days than rush into weather that won't let you enjoy the experience.
Most moms schedule their coast session between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy, when the bump is beautifully round but you still feel comfortable walking on the sand. The sweet spot is usually around 30 to 34 weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we have to go into the water?
Not at all.
Some families love ending the session by walking along the shoreline, while others prefer to stay completely dry. Both create beautiful photographs.
How many outfit changes are included?
Most maternity sessions include up to three different looks, depending on the pace of the session.
What should I wear?
Flowing dresses always photograph beautifully on the coast, but many moms also love including a casual outfit like jeans, a simple top, or an oversized shirt.
The combination creates a gallery that feels both elegant and relaxed.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If conditions aren't suitable for a session, we'll simply choose another date whenever possible.

Where on the Oregon Coast do sessions take place?
I photograph at beautiful spots along the northern coast, including Cannon Beach and Hug Point. We'll choose the location together based on the light, the mood you're dreaming of, and what's most comfortable for you.
When should I book my Oregon Coast session?
Because I only offer a limited number of coast sessions each year, it's best to reach out during your second trimester. That way we can reserve time around your due date and keep enough flexibility to choose the best weather.
