Newborn Photographer in Beaverton, OR
If you're in Beaverton and expecting a baby, you don't have to go far for newborn portraits. My studio sits in the Sylvan Highlands neighborhood of Southwest Portland — about a 15–20 minute drive from most Beaverton neighborhoods, straight east on Highway 26. Many of my clients come from Beaverton, and I love that the drive is short enough for a sleepy newborn and a tired mama.
In my calm, natural-light studio, newborn sessions are baby-led and unhurried. I provide everything — wraps, blankets, outfits, and a full client wardrobe for moms — so you just bring your baby, and I'll take care of the rest.
How far is the studio from Beaverton?
About 15–20 minutes, depending on where in Beaverton you are. The studio is in Southwest Portland, just off Highway 26 — an easy, straight drive east from Beaverton. Parking is available at the building, so you won't be circling the block with a newborn in the car.
When should I book a newborn session?
The best time to reach out is during your second trimester — that way we can hold a tentative date around your due date. For those sleepy, curled-up portraits, I typically schedule sessions within the first 5 to 15 days after birth. If your baby is already here and you haven't booked yet, don't worry — my sessions are baby-led, and I can capture beautiful images at any age. Just send me a message and we'll find a date.
What happens at a newborn session?
Newborn sessions last around 2 hours, and we simply follow your baby's pace — with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and cuddles. I use soft, neutral tones and gentle, baby-led posing to capture natural, timeless images. Parents and siblings are always welcome to join for a few family portraits — those are often the most cherished images of all. Your full, hand-edited gallery arrives via a private online link within about a week.
Why choose a studio session over an at-home session?
A studio session means you don't have to tidy the house, worry about the light, or wonder where to put everything. The studio is warm, calm, and fully equipped — professional light, cozy blankets, and everything your baby needs in one place. And in Oregon, you never have to worry about rain. You just arrive, relax, and enjoy watching your baby be photographed.
Do you offer maternity sessions for Beaverton moms?
Yes. Maternity sessions are best booked between 28 and 36 weeks, ideally around 30–34 weeks. Many Beaverton families book the maternity + newborn bundle, so both chapters of the story are captured in the same calm style. You can see current pricing here.
What should I bring?
Almost nothing. I provide everything for your baby — wraps, blankets, and simple outfits — plus a curated client wardrobe for moms. You're welcome to bring anything personal, but you don't need to.
